Volcanoes from the sky

Posted by Dennis On January - 26 - 2010

A welcome site

We flew into Mexico City yesterday afternoon, and I always think that the best view of the volcanoes is from the air. As you fly in, you can see the two closest ones to Mexico City, and you can see other volcanoes as well. I snapped this picture quickly from the plane.

Is it a Dog or a Lion?

Posted by Dennis On June - 1 - 2009

I have never seen anything like this anywhere else but Mexico. There is a dog in my neighborhood who either thinks he’s a lion, or his owners wanted a lion but could only find a dog at the pet store.

Tilt Shift Photos of Mexico City

Posted by Dennis On May - 8 - 2009

I got playing around with tiltshiftmaker.com and some of my photos of Mexico City.

“Tilt-shift miniature style photos are pictures of real-life scenes that are manipulated to look like model photographs.”

About Me

I am a gringo living in Mexico City, hence the name Chilingo: a mix between what they call citizens of Mexico City (Chilango) and what they call Americans (gringo). Chilango + Gringo = Chilingo.
